Hi everyone !
I hope that you are all doing well! I think that this is one of the first newsletters I have written this year, since I have been on tour. God has been doing so many things in different places in Europe, but I will try to give you a little glimpse of what we have been doing with the team.
Since January, we have been travelling more than 3000kms in Germany, the Netherlands and United Kingdom, mainly doing concerts, but also training young people in drama and dance, as well as teaching on evangelism. The goal of these concerts is twofold : to see people being saved and added to the local churches and to challenge the christians to live their lives fully devoted to Christ.
We have had eighteen concerts, and in all of them, people have given their lives to Jesus Christ. Many healings have also taken place at the end of the concerts, and here are some of the best: A woman got healed from asthma in Amsterdam, after a word of knowledge was given. In Germany, I received a word of knowledge about a girl called Anna or Hannah with Eczema, I gave it as I was preaching healing and a girl called Anna with Eczema came forward, got prayed for and was healed. In our last concert in the Netherlands, a girl with a leg shorter than the other got healed!
3 other concert teams have been touring at the same time as us, and until now, an estimated 18000 people have seen the concerts, 1304 people have been saved, and 64 instant healings have occured.
Travelling with 6 other people has mainly been very fun, the team chemistry is very good and it’s pretty close to a “second family†feeling. Our tour in Belgium, Switzerland and France starts on Tuesday, and we are expecting many great things to happen too. However the Lord has clearly been speaking to us about the importance of the fruit of the Spirit over the gifts and that our focus should be more on our caracter than the miracles. He has shown us that the gifts flow from the fruit.
At Easter, all of Jesus Revolution gathered for our annual assembly, which was the opportunity to plan for the future of the work in France, and take with Eliza Payan our first decision as base leaders, training a french concert team next year in our base in Marseille. This is a big project, considering that we have to find ways of financing our own equipment, and find instructors for dance, singing, and sound/light engineering. Some people have already accepted to come and work with us, but many things still need to fall into place. Another decision we took is to have a Leader Academy in France, to train and multiply leaders that will lead the young people in this nation, as well as being examples and setting the new standard for the new generation.
Well that’s about it…life is not always easy on tour, but I have learnt so many things these last months, especially how important it is to trust the Lord with every aspect of my life, and how worry is so vain cause he is in control of everything! You can check out http://paulhockley.free.fr , a new website that I put up now during the vacation for some updates during the tour, and for some photos of what we have been doing in the different countries. I hope that you are encouraged!
God bless you
Paul
